Among one of the most detested occurrences found throughout long running series is that of filler. The purpose of filler is typically that of buying time, be it to provide writers time to prepare better scripts or source material time to catch up to that of an adaptation. Bleach often find itself among the latter category, the anime biding it’s time as not to overtake the source manga. The egregious lengths the anime will go to made evident in the fourth season of Bleach, The Bount, an entire filler arch conceived to allow the manga time to catch up.
